Resumen:

By building an analytic frame for political plasticity, this article “narrates” a theoretical story that begins with a contradiction—between the political and plasticity—and then makes a leap into a more essential view of the political which can be named political plasticity. The contradiction ends up dissolving to the extent that plasticity reveals as a more grounding concept than the political. But the political is not suppressed, it is rather kept within the structure of plasticity. Plasticity thus get qualified by the political and political plasticity is described as having an equalizing and materialist structure. This analytic frame is useful for engaging into further research that would problematize, analyze and develop important themes and contemporary debates: materialism, the brain condition, imagination, sovereignty, systematicity, acts of political plasticity, among others.
